Embark on a journey of creativity and inspiration with Art on Te Awa.
An Outdoor Gallery
The Te Awa River Ride Art Trail began in 2024, to create an evolving outdoor gallery that connects people with art, culture, and nature.
Designed as a series of curated precincts, the trail will continue to grow, with new artworks introduced over time. The Cambridge precinct is the first to be developed, with five artworks already installed.

This impressive sculpture by Chris Moore provides an iconic photo opportunity with a river backdrop.
Tuna Kuwharuwharu
Perched with backdrop of the Waikato River, this longfin eel is representative of NZ’s top freshwater predator.

Art With Purpose
Our approach to Art on Te Awa extends beyond the visual appeal of the artworks; each site and piece is carefully selected to enhance the natural beauty of the surroundings whilst preserving the integrity of the landscape.
